What is the Role:
The Risk Information team as part of Enterprise Risk is at the heart of the Risk Function’s data-driven approach to risk management. The Risk Information Manager is a key player in this dynamic team, capturing vital data requirements, representing the Risk Function in high-impact strategic initiatives, and ensuring best in class data quality and access to risk data.
The Risk Information Manager will directly support the Head of Risk Reporting & Information (RR&I) as a key part of the management team, supporting on continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring the team is leading-edge and future focused. The Risk Information Manager will have opportunities to delegate for the Head of RR&I at various internal and external fora including at the Enterprise Risk Management Team and at other senior committees.
Key accountabilities.
- Capturing and managing data requirements to support the Risk Function's objectives, including for data quality scorecards, data dashboards and data lineage.
- Acting as the Risk Function representative on strategic initiatives, for example on the IRB Programme.
- Managing data quality issues for Key Business Elements (KBEs) and other Risk Data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Running the Risk Function Data Forum (RFDF), a function-specific forum that manages data quality for Risk, and governs processes including annual attestations of EUCs, Critical & Sustainable (C&S) Reports.
- Preparing updates for the Risk Senior Management Team (SMT) and the Data Quality and Governance Committee (DQGC) on data management and governance issues.
- Managing the team's JIRA and SharePoint platforms to ensure efficient workflow and documentation.
- Recording and maintaining the lineage of High-Risk Reports (HRRs) within the Risk Function to ensure traceability and transparency in line with the bank’s RDARR obligations.
- Engaging with stakeholders across Risk to identify opportunities for data visualisation and leading the initiatives to developing User Stories and Wireframes for Power BI dashboards, managing through to completion.
- Managing reference data including data related to the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) that is utilised across the Risk function and identifying opportunities for automation.
- Supporting RR&I engagement with stakeholders including Group Internal Audit (GIA) and the JST on Risk Mitigation Plans (RMPs) and audit and assurance activities.
- Leading a high-performing Risk Information Team and engaging with key data management and governance stakeholders across the AIB Group
What you Will Bring ;
- 5+ years ‘of proven experience in a data management and governance role or related role, e.g. Risk Analytics.
- In depth knowledge of data management and governance.
- Degree and/or appropriate professional qualifications (e.g. CDMP) in data management and governance or related field;
- Experience of leading high-performance teams and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the bank;
- Knowledge of Power BI, Qlikview or other data visualisation tools; and
- Excellent communication skills, analytic skills and adherence to the highest ethical standards.
