What is the Role:

The Risk Information team as part of Enterprise Risk is at the heart of the Risk Function’s data-driven approach to risk management. The Risk Information Senior Analyst is a key player in this dynamic team, capturing vital data requirements, representing the Risk Function in high-impact strategic initiatives, and ensuring best in class data quality and access to risk data.


The Risk Information Senior Analyst will report to the Risk Information Manager, supporting them in their duties as a key part of the Risk Reporting and Information (RR&I) management team. The role holder will also take accountability for specific continuous improvement at the direction of the management team.

Key accountabilities.

  • Logging data quality issues for Key Business Elements (KBEs) and other Risk Data to ensure accuracy and reliability and tracking to completion.
  • Leading key activities including the annual attestations of EUCs, Critical & Sustainable (C&S) Reports.
  • Supporting the Risk Information Manager in developing material for the Risk Function Data Forum (RFDF) and other data fora across the bank.
  • Maintaining the team's JIRA and SharePoint platforms to ensure efficient workflow and documentation.
  • Maintaining the lineage of High-Risk Reports (HRRs) within the Risk Function to ensure traceability and transparency in line with the bank’s RDARR obligations and supporting the annual governance process.
  • Documenting processes and procedures for the team and maintaining these to a high standard.
  • Developing User Stories and Wireframes for Power BI dashboards and logging data quality issues and data gaps.
  • Supporting the management of reference data including data related to the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS).
  • Supporting RR&I engagement with stakeholders including Group Internal Audit (GIA) and the JST on Risk Mitigation Plans (RMPs) and audit and assurance activities.

What you Will Bring. 

  • 3+ years of proven experience in a data management and governance role or related role, e.g. Risk Analytics
  • In depth knowledge of data management and governance.
  • Degree and/or appropriate professional qualifications (e.g. CDMP) in data management and governance or related field.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Qlikview or other data visualisation tools
  • Excellent communication skills, analytic skills and adherence to the highest ethical standards.
