As Risk Manager in the CDAO at PTSB, you will be responsible for ensuring that the CDAO function operates within a well-governed risk and control environment, in line with organisational frameworks and external expectations.

You will provide first line risk management and control support across all CDAO Data & Analytics activities. This includes activities across Data engineering, Data architecture, Data Operations, BI & Advanced Analytics, Regulatory Data provision, Business Partnering & Strategy, Data Governance, and Model Operations. You will also contribute to strategic programmes and projects, providing expert guidance and advice.

This role works closely with CDAO leadership and associated teams to proactively identify risks, advise on mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with bank frameworks, policies and external expectations and regulations. It acts as the primary interface between the CDAO and second line risk, audit, and assurance functions, tracking all actions and supporting control testing, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all CDAO owned processes and services have appropriately designed controls in place with supporting evidence. Maintain and continuously improve the risk and control register.
  • Act as the central point of contact for internal audit, external audit and second line risk activities related to the CDAO. Track and manage open issues, audit actions, and risk events, ensuring timely and high-quality resolution. Coordinate responses to reviews, providing documentation and evidence as needed.
  • Contribute to key CDAO led or CDAO impacting change initiatives providing early input and challenge on risk and control considerations. Provide risk advice and contribute to governance forums and senior leadership as needed.
  • Coordinate the delivery of RCSAs and ongoing risk assessments across CDAO. Promote adherence to enterprise risk frameworks and best practice. Ensure policy requirements are embedding into work practices and tooling.
  • Lead delivery of accurate and timely reporting on overall CDAO risk posture, issue statuses, and audit outcomes to senior leadership. Implement KPIs and metrics to track continuous improvement.
  • Support business continuity, third party risk management activities, and technology risk processes within the CDAO domain.

Requirements:

  • A bachelors degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in risk management, operational & IT risk, internal audit, governance roles or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing risks, implementing risk mitigation strategies, interfacing with second line risk and audit teams.
  • Knowledge of key Banking and data regulations such as BCBS239, GDPR, EU AI Act, Third party Risk management, EBA/ECB data risk expectations.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with ability to coordinate across teams.

This is a Permanent role based in Dublin or Cork
