What is the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Group Regulatory Engagement, the Risk Mitigation Programme (RMP) & Inspection Advisory Manager is a member of the Group Regulatory Relations Management team.
Group Regulatory Relations (GRR) ambition is to support AIB Group in delivering improved regulatory outcomes by managing, maintaining and building constructive relationships with our regulators. Group Regulatory Relations operates on a strategic business partnering basis, supporting the bank in its regulatory engagements.
Group Regulatory Relations is now seeking an ambitious and experienced leader who is keen to pursue this opportunity on the Group Regulatory Relations team.
Key accountabilities;
- Lead the Risk Mitigation Programme (RMP) Team, responsible for the coordinating the Banks approach to RMPs, ensuring RMPs are delivered in line with the AIB RMP Management Standards.
- Guide and protect the Bank as it prepares for, and responds to, regulatory inspections. Lead the delivery of consistent, comprehensive and effective management of regulatory inspections, providing independent oversight and feedback to the Bank on the progress and outcomes of inspections.
- Regularly engage with our regulators, ensuring that communication is clear and that areas of priority from both sides are clearly understood.
- Take ownership of GRR’s operations governance ensuring GRR complies with all Operational Risk and Governance obligations.
- Support GRR in delivering on its mandate through continuous process and system enhancement.
- Development & leadership of a dedicated team through coaching, feedback, stretch assignments and career development goals.
What you Will Bring;
- 7+ years in financial services with at least 3 years managing regulatory relationships/working within a regulator.
- An in depth understanding of the banking regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with an ability to land messages effectively at all levels of the bank.
- Significant experience in defining and delivering projects within timelines.
