About the RoleAs a Road Safety Auditor, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating road infrastructure to identify safety risks, ensuring compliance with road safety standards, and contributing to the development of safer transport systems across the country. You will work closely with engineering teams, local authorities, and contractors to improve road safety across new and existing road networks through the defined Road Safety Audit process.
About YouYou will be experienced in conducting Road Safety Audits on private development and public investment schemes such as new road schemes, road modifications, active travel schemes, private developments, Quality Audits, Road User Audits and DMURS audits. You will have experience in managing a portfolio of Road Safety Audits at all stages, engage with the TII Road Safety Auditor approval process and be able to manage stakeholder and client expectations for delivery and communication of the audit process.
Skills & ExperienceA bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent and ideally a post-graduate degree
Minimum 5+ years post-graduate experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of the Road Safety Audit process as set down in TII-GE-01025 Road Safety Audit
Qualified to carry out Road Safety Audits at Team Leader and Team Member status
Solid communication and IT skills
Experience in working on Active Travel, Transportation, Planning & Road Design projects
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D desirable but not required
Clean driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for travelling to site locations around Ireland
