SGS Ireland have an exciting opportunity for a Trainer to deliver National Road Safety Education on behalf of our Client. This role is a Full-Time hours Specific Purpose Fixed Term Contract. 

The Road Safety Promotion Officer will play a vital role in raising awareness, educating the public, while inspiring behavioral change to reduce accidents, injuries, and fatalities on our roads.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and impactful training sessions to various stakeholders.
  • Inspire positive road safety behaviour change through compelling presentations.
  • Conduct training sessions in diverse formats—classroom, virtual, and hands-on learning.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to our high standards of professionalism, integrity, and safety at all times.
Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Education & Experience: A third-level qualification in Training, Education, or Community Work (or exceptional experience in one of these areas).
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Passion for Road Safety: A genuine drive to make a difference in communities.
  • Tech-Savviness: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams).
  • Independence & Teamwork: Works well autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Adaptability & Energy: A positive, proactive approach in a changing environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Organizational skills that ensure smooth training sessions.
  • Child Protection Awareness: A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Full Clean Driving License (Category B): A company vehicle will be provided.
  • Fluent English (Irish an advantage).
