Are you passionate about road safety? SGS are seeking Road Safety Training Coordinators to deliver National Road Safety Education and inspire change!
The Road Safety Training Coordinator will play a vital role in raising awareness, educating the public, and inspiring behavior change to reduce accidents, injuries, and fatalities on our roads.
We currently have opportunities available across the following regions.
Connaught - Covering South Galway, Galway City, Clare & North Tipperary
Job DescriptionResponsibilities
- Design and deliver presentations to engage with various stakeholders (schools/businesses)
- Identify opportunities to deliver training
- Create engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, handouts to ensure full attention
- Inspire Change
- Deliver training sessions in a variety of formats, including classroom-style, virtual, and on-the-job training
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training through feedback
- Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct, and at all times adopt behaviour in accordance with SGS Equality & Diversity policy.
- At all times adopt a safe and professional behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues and members of the public, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.
- Critical Competencies:
- Hold a third level educational qualification in Training, Education or Community work or demonstrate exceptional experience in one of these areas
- Efficient schedule management to ensure optimal service delivery
- Display a passion for road safety
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to engage with diverse audiences.
- Ability to develop and maintain a network of contacts within the region and across various types of organisations
- Ability to meet individual and team KPI’s on a weekly and monthly basis without issue
- Compilation and preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Ability to work under pressure meeting challenging deadlines in an efficient and competent manner
The ideal candidate should possess the following attributes/skill-sets:
- Ability to take initiative and works well on their own and as part of a team
- Demonstrate the ability to be flexible/adaptable, reliable, and tolerant in a changing working environment whilst maintaining efficiencies
- Successful candidate should be pro-active, have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate/communicate effectively with all ages
- Clear understanding of child protection issues
- Patient, enthusiastic, and energetic temperament
- Strong Proficiency of Microsoft Packages including Excel, Word and Microsoft Teams
- Possess a full clean driving license in category “B”- a company vehicle will be provided
- Fluent English Speaker (Fluent Irish speaker an advantage)
