KNOW THE ROLE

In our Arnotts branch we are currently looking for a self-driven, customer service focused, sales assistant to be part of our team on part-time (Christmas temp. November to January - Monday to Friday mostly) position in ladies shoes department. The role is of vital importance as it deals with our final consumers and must be carried out at the best and most efficient way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and serving customers as they enter the floor

  • Advising and assisting customers

  • Closing sales

  • Supporting the manager on duties on daily tasks such as: maintain the standards of the shop floor and shoes on display

KNOW WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Fitting experience

  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets while demonstrating strong product knowledge and commercial awareness

  • Provide expert styling and product advice with professionalism, clarity, and confidence

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced retail environment

  • Flexible and solutions-focused, able to manage change and remain calm under pressure

  • Demonstrates self-awareness, empathy, and the ability to handle customer concerns with sensitivity and professionalism

  • Confident using POS, CRM, WhatsApp clienteling, and stock systems to enhance the customer journey

  • Strong team player, contributing to shared goals and supporting colleagues across departments

  • Results-driven, proactive, and responsible for personal and team success

  • Acts with professionalism, fairness, and respect, embedding BTA values into all decisions and behaviours

  • Fully flexible Monday to Sunday

KNOW WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

  • Minimum of 1 year retail (preferably fashion) experience

  • Customer service skills

  • The ability to work well with others

  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations

  • To be thorough and pay attention to detail

  •  Sensitivity and understanding

  •  The ability to use your initiative

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
