Sales/Delivery Person

Rakeelan Furniture is looking for an enthusiastic individual with a good knowledge of, or interest in Furniture and Electronic Appliances to take on the role of full-time Sales & Administration Assistant for our showroom in Ballyconnell, Co Cavan.

Previous retail experience would be preferred but is not essential

The successful applicant:

• Must enjoy working with customers, have strong communication skills, be organised, and display the greatest levels of attention to detail.
• He/she should also be interested in our products and able to readily become knowledgeable about the items we sell.
• They must be happy to work as part of a small team but equally self-motivated enough to complete some tasks using their own initiative.
• The job involves the usual day to day tasks of a retail store from opening in the morning to cashing up at night as well as supporting the owners with administerial support - everything from stock management, to pricing and promotions across the week
• General daily upkeep of the store and stock room and light cleaning duties.
• A Full, Clean drivers licence is also essential as the role will involve the delivery of furniture as part of the role.
• Liaising with our Warehouse & Customer Support teams regarding customer orders and queries.
• This is a hands-on role and the successful candidate will enjoy working in a busy, full-on environment, where no 2 days are ever the same.

The successful candidate must have a Positive Attitude and contagious enthusiasm for furniture, Electronic Appliances, our community, and our team.

• This is a full-time position, working 39 hours per week.
• The store opens from Monday to Saturday and the role involves working 5 days over 6 and working Saturdays on a regular basis.

The showroom does not open on Sundays.

Experience in a similar retail environment would be an advantage but not essential.
