Sales Executive
The sales Executive is responsible for selling agricultural, Gardening, household, electrical, DIY, paints and building products, cross selling products to customers and engaging with new customers through referrals, networking and cold calling. The sales executive plays a key role in generating new sales with our existing customers and lapsed customers while also striving to identify new customers and open new accounts. They must be driven to increase sales, confident, optimistic and open to change with a can do / will do attitude.
The successful candidate must be able to:
- Liaise / communicate proactively and responsively both internally and externally to ensure deadline and efficient services are maintained.
- Ensure accurate attention to detail and consistent adherence to procedures within areas of responsibility.
- Source new sales opportunities with existing and new customers.
- Be positive and outgoing whilst demonstrating a confident but appropriate disposition to achieve efficient and effective sales development for the business.
- Work alongside the their manager in recommending and establishing the most realistic and attainable sales goals for the company.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and possess abilities to interpret, understand and communicate customer feedback.
- Contribute to the continual improvements into the sales operating / management information systems.
- Strive to achieve your individual sales accounts targets.
- Represent the company in a professional, enthusiastic and positive manner.
- Understand customer requirements and ensure alignment with the needs / commitments of the business.
- Adhere to Health, Safety and Environment procedures and ensure they are understood and practiced.
- Ensure all sales calls are professionally dealt with and call - backs are made in a timely manner.
- Research the markets potential, track sales and status reports.
- Deliver sales presentations to prospective clients and existing customers.
- Prepare, submit and negotiate contracts with prospective customers.
- Contribute to pricing schedules for quotes and negotiations.
- Supply management with detailed reports on customer needs, problems, interests etc.
- Ensure customer accounts are up to date as per payment terms.
- Be up to date with industry news to identify opportunities for new business.
- Work as part of the sales department to share ideas and improve operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external staff to ensure optimal performance is obtained for the business.
