Role Profile: 

We are recruiting for Seasonal General Operatives at our well established ingredients production facility in Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny.The Seasonal General Operator will work as a part of the operations team, reporting to the area production manager.

Responsibilities

The Seasonal General Operative role will be responsible for all aspects of plant performance, product quality and plant hygiene, and they will perform general operational duties across our various production plants to the highest safety standards.

The role will include;

• Operation of plant and equipment relating to the powder packing & palletisation processes as appropriate.
• Sampling of product stream.
• Monitoring & controlling of plant performance indicators to ensure consistent production of high quality product.
• Maintaining general housekeeping in the production area.
• Forklift duties as appropriate including loading and unloading containers.
• Maintain standards in the plant relating to hygiene, throughput, quality, energy efficiency and losses.
• Adherence to general GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and hygiene standards and maintain work area in a clean and tidy condition.
• Various ad hoc duties as assigned by your manager including, but not limited to, cleaning, reworking of bag off, etc.

Successful candidates will be required to work on a seasonal basis and may be assigned to day, evening or night shifts depending on operational requirements

 Key Requirements:

• Ideally Candidates must have a proven track record with respect to the following skills and behaviours
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes
• Good technical ability to understand plant and processes.
• Ability to learn quickly, to be innovative and show initiative with respect to work processes.
• Flexibility and motivation to seek improvements on a continuous basis.
• Good communication skills
• Computer literate with an aptitude for understanding and applying technical data and information in line with plant performance and efficiency.
• Team-working and cooperation with other members of the plant team to ensure efficient operation of the plant
