A panel may be created for the post of Information, Communications and Technology Manager, from which permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part time duration may be filled.

Purpose of the Post

· The Section Officer Post plays an integral role in the operation, support management and planning of the Emergency Department & admissions office at PUH; supporting the General Manager & Patient Services Manager, with a close working relationship with the Director of Nursing.

· Coordinate and provide a 24 hour rotational roster inclusive of night shifts for the Emergency Department Reception Area, Line Management of all Clerical/ Administrative staff in Department & providing cross cover for line manager colleagues as & when required.

· Liaise closely with the Finance Department to support budgetary control and income collection to ensure cost effective service delivery, ensuring all relevant data is captured in relation to admission/ discharges to reduce the incidents of loss of income.

  • Work closely with the Scheduled care team ensuring delivery and optimum use of capacity, in particular Theatre scheduling and manage processes to ensure early identification of capacity issues for negotiation and discussion with Directorates & the scheduled care team.
