Senior Account Manager - DIGITAL PR

The Senior Digital PR Manager will play a key role in leading the Digital PR function at Legacy Communications, an award-winning agency working with clients across Ireland, the UK and the USA. You will own Digital PR delivery, drive revenue growth and manage high-impact campaigns, client relationships and team performance.

Key duties and Responsibilities:

Digital PR Ownership and Service Leadership

  • Own the Digital PR service end-to-end, delivering consistently high-quality work while managing clients, finances and direct reports.
  • Develop, document and implement standard operating procedures for all Digital PR campaign types, including data-led hero campaigns, surveys, expert commentary, reactive activity and related formats.
  • Continually refine reporting frameworks, producing deep, insightful reports that clearly communicate impact and reinforce the value of Digital PR.

Campaign Strategy, Planning and Delivery

  • Build, adapt and deliver high-performing digital PR campaigns that meet client expectations and KPI goals.
  • Lead creative ideation, including data-driven storytelling, proactive concepts and reactive opportunities.
  • Plan campaigns at least two weeks in advance, using project management tools to maintain visibility and control over timelines.
  • Oversee the development of campaign assets in collaboration with SEO, content and wider internal teams.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on campaign performance, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations.

Resource and Project Management

  • Manage resource planning and utilisation for yourself and direct reports to ensure deadlines are met and capacity is maximised across clients.
  • Maintain oversight of workloads, adjusting plans to achieve optimal efficiency and delivery accuracy.
  • Support the growth of the Digital PR function by scaling team capacity as required.

Outreach and Media Relations

  • Identify opportunities for outreach and content placement across online publications, social platforms and other relevant digital channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, pitching stories that secure high-quality coverage and links.
  • Evolve outreach tactics to ensure campaigns remain competitive and impactful.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as a trusted communications partner, integrating into clients’ external comms plans and acting as their primary day-to-day contact.
  • Plan and lead client meetings, delivering strategic updates and maintaining a high standard of service.
  • Manage client finances, liaising with the finance team to ensure invoices are accurate, issued on time and aligned with contracted activity.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Manage, mentor and motivate direct reports, supporting their professional development and ensuring strong performance across all campaigns.
  • Work cross-department to support and amplify wider agency campaigns through Digital PR expertise.
  • Help refine and improve processes to enhance efficiency, consistency and creative excellence.

Business Development and Revenue Growth

  • Drive new business growth by identifying, pursuing and converting opportunities into agency clients.
  • Lead the development and delivery of pitches, proposals and revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Maintain responsibility for generating Digital PR revenue and contributing to the division’s annual revenue targets.

Key requirements for the role:

• At least 3 years of working as a Digital PR Manager and achieving campaign KPIs

• Exceptional client management/communication skills

• Outstanding research and writing skills

• Strong business development acumen

• High level of initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision

• Time management and priority management skills

• A creative yet practical mind

• Experience using outreach tools and platforms is preferable

• Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills

• Impeccable attention to detail.

• Experience with SEO

• Ability to work both independently and as a team
