Want to join ICCO Global Agency of the Year? This is a career defining role acting as deputy to the Head of our newest and fastest growing division. You will lead client operations, shape best practice and help build a high performing Corporate and Business PR team inside a leading independent communications agency.

We work with ALDI, Energia, Laya Healthcare, WHOOP, Westport Estate, Drivalia, Lenovo, Uniphar and Dogs Trust. We shape corporate narratives, launch innovations and manage reputations across business and consumer sectors. Every client receives dedicated support, senior oversight and measurable results.

Primarily focused on Corporate and Business communications, the role also allows you to flex into lifestyle and corpsumer briefs when appropriate.

What you will do

  • Lead day to day delivery across multiple client accounts including planning, resourcing, message development, content creation, media outreach and performance reporting
  • Develop and deliver smart, insight led strategies that align with client goals and demonstrate clear value
  • Drive standout media performance through an ongoing obsession with securing coverage, spotting openings across national, business, sector and regional media and turning them into results
  • Build strong journalist relationships, pitch compelling stories and maintain a constant view of the news agenda to create momentum for clients
  • Prepare clients for media opportunities including briefing documents, narrative shaping and reactive response
  • Bring an entrepreneurial mindset by supporting client retention, cross sell, proactive ideas and participation in new business proposals and meetings
  • Partner with the Head of the division to establish processes, improve workflow, strengthen reporting structures and contribute to team planning
  • Lead by example with hands on thinking, writing, pitching, problem solving and forward planning
  • Play an active role in fostering a strong team culture focused on high standards, collaboration and continuous improvement

What you will bring

  • Seven years plus experience in PR or communications with a strong Corporate or Business focus and a track record of delivering measurable impact
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to interrogate client challenges, identify opportunities and shape clear, compelling plans
  • An innate drive to generate media coverage and the instincts to consistently scout for opportunities, angles and openings that others might miss
  • Confidence managing senior client stakeholders, advising with clarity and building long term trusted relationships
  • A hands on approach to delivery including writing plans, drafting content, managing timelines, pitching media and maintaining momentum
  • Experience leading teams with the ability to delegate, mentor, set standards and support others as the division grows
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex projects, competing priorities and fast moving environments
  • Comfort with budgets, scopes of work, KPIs and clear performance measurement
  • Strong media relations skills and an active interest in business, industry, policy, consumer and cultural trends that shape communications
  • A proactive mindset, natural curiosity and the confidence to bring forward ideas and improvements
