This role involves working as part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team focused on high technology projects within the Science & Technology and Research & Development market and will involve working on world leading technically focused projects including laboratory facilities, data centres, semiconductor manufacturing and other state of the art facilities. You will join a vibrant, dynamic business and lead project teams that deliver world class technically focused designs for industry leading global clients. JACOBS design some of the most complex and specialized facilities being constructed today around the world.

Projects for our clients include feasibility studies, long-range planning studies, specialist technical design support and full design services including programming, schematic design, concept, design development, construction documents, and services during construction with varying procurement routes.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong leadership, communication skills and proven delivery/ project experience. They will exhibit a passion and desire to apply their technical experience, knowledge and managerial skills in a multi discipline team environment on technically challenging and professionally rewarding projects. Our team is seeking a person who understands the importance of meeting their targeted commitments while being flexible to the ever-changing and fast paced environment of our clients’ projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently lead technically challenging design activities as a leader and coordinate with multi-discipline teams.

  • Manage the architectural team and where required lead multi discipline teams.

  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and vendor bid evaluations.

  • Lead the generation of multi discipline proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets for projects.

  • Develop designer effort-hour estimates for Architectural teams.

  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

  • Proactive technically focused architect with experience in all stages of project delivery (schematic design, site master planning, design development, construction)

  • High degree of proficiency and speed in AutoCAD and Revit is desirable.

  • An understanding of permitting legislation, building regulations, and health and safety legislation is paramount.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Laboratory, technical facility delivery, semiconductor, data centre or large-scale industrial experience preferable.

  • Proven architectural and team leadership experience with suitable project delivery.

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel).

  • Strong relevant architectural design experience in industrial/ advanced technology sector.

  • Experience in user and stakeholder engagement and brief development.

  • Excellent English level - written and spoken.

  • Knowledge of Architectural specific design standards and building regulations.

  • Ability to interact with engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.

  • Experience using REVIT and BIM desirable.

  • Experience of working on global projects is preferred.

  • Ability and flexibility to travel is required.

  • The ideal candidate will be an RIBA or RIAI registered Architect
