Senior Auditor

Salary Scale: £53,551 to £58,482 per annum
Location: Hybrid (regular attendance is required at NIAO Belfast)
Contract: Permanent Full Time (37 hours per week). Applications welcome for part-time hours (minumum 32 hours per week).

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. At least 2 years’ post qualification and current membership of one of the following bodies:

3. Decision making/judgement
Experience of analysing complex evidence and exercising sound judgement to formulate conclusions and constructive recommendations.
4. Leadership skills
Experience of guiding and motivating a team to deliver quality outputs.
5. Communication skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
6. Be able to travel to various locations as needed to meet the mobility needs of the post.

- Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy
- One of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants (CAI, ICAEW, ICAS etc.)
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
- Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland
2. Technical competence
- Two years’ experience, in the last five years, of auditing financial statements; and
- Robust working knowledge of applying financial reporting standards, auditing standards and methodologies.
3. Decision making/judgement
Experience of analysing complex evidence and exercising sound judgement to formulate conclusions and constructive recommendations.
4. Leadership skills
Experience of guiding and motivating a team to deliver quality outputs.
