Job Description
As a Senior Calibration Technician, you will conduct routine inspection and testing to ensure conformance to established calibration standards. Utilize calibration software and diagnostic tools to identify faults or non-conformance and to track results. Understand industry and quality concepts and standards such as ISO, GMP & NIST.
You will play a pivotal role in the tendering process to secure future project works for Jones Engineering. You will work closely the senior management team to identify areas of improvement. The work will be based across various sites in Cork.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carry out process instrument calibrations for existing clients
Completion of traceable calibrations to ISO standards, working within the company’s quality procedures.
Efficiently document both verbal and written instruction of any additional work identified and cost accurately.
Act as an integral link in the communication process between the client and management.
Ensure all health, safety and environmental requirements are fulfilled in accordance with the responsibilities defined in the company safety and environmental statements.
Promote high standards of housekeeping.
This role will provide exposure to a wide range of expertise relating to pharmaceutical, life sciences, data centre, semi-conduction, construction, and other sectors. The successful candidate will be supported in developing their knowledge and skills as their responsibilities grow and evolve.
Skills and Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Craft certificate in Instrumentation and / or a Diploma in Applied Physics & Instrumentation (or equivalent).
Demonstrable levels of technical knowledge with practical application.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
Excellent communication skills.
