Senior Compliance Officer

Job Overview

The successful candidate will work as part of our existing QC Compliance team reporting to the Head of QA. They will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of all quality systems.

Main Activities/Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that existing quality standards are maintained and improved where appropriate.
  • Compilation and approval of Methods of Analysis/Raw Material Specifications/Test Protocols and associated Report Books in accordance with GMP
  • Reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assist with preparation for internal/external and customer audits
  • Responsible for the quarantining of any raw materials/finished goods which fail to meet the required specification.
  • Action CAPAs and Change Controls as required
  • Participate in the continuous audit ready QC Programme
  • Maintain KPI trackers for QC and conduct trending analysis when required
  • Assist with the compilation of Product Quality Reviews and other documentation within the quality system as and when required
Essential Criteria:

Applicants must therefore demonstrate the following essential criteria on their application form in order to be considered:
  • Applicants must possess a degree in a science related discipline OR have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in an analytical laboratory setting which includes a supervisory role.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an analytical laboratory setting QC or QA environment.
  • Competent in the use of Excel/Pivot Tables
Desirable Criteria:

Due to the nature of the role preference will be given to applicants demonstrating the following desirable criteria:
  • Self-motivated, proactive and possess excellent organisational and motivation skills
  • Knowledge of GMP together with a practical knowledge of analytical methods including HPLC, GC and wet chemistry
Duration: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Newry
