What is the Role:

The Data Remediation function within Data & Analytics in AIB provides a critical service to the Bank by analysing and validating the quality of priority data in line with Regulatory and business requests from across the organisation. The function also seeks to identify opportunities to deliver sustainable process improvements where appropriate. We are a team of 35 people with a mix of disciplines including Data Experts, Data Samplers and Remediation SME who collaborate to improve data quality in the Organisation. Your role will be to review, analyse data by collaborating with the business and the team to understand the data, data issues and the available options for data remediation.

Key accountabilities.

  • Take lead role in the design and development of data quality analysis, MI and data quality enhancement solutions. 
  • Establish strong relationships with business partners and key stakeholder, to deliver data quality outcomes aligned to AIB strategy
  • Support a continuous improvement culture within the organisation, where innovation and creative thinking is encouraged and developed
  • Management of data analysts to support completion of data quality solutions.
  • Provide the necessary coaching and support to junior team members.

What you Will Bring;

  • Minimum 3+ years data analyst experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with presentations and communicating results to others, particularly to a senior audience
  • Experience leading team and the delivery of positive business outcomes
  • Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and strong attention to detail, completing tasks to a very high degree of accuracy. 
  • Experience with banking customer and credit systems is an advantage
