Enterprise Delivery – Senior Delivery Lead

What is the Role:
This is a Senior Delivery role within the Enterprise Delivery organisation, responsible for leading major change initiatives across multiple Tribes. The role holder will act as the primary Technology leader for the major change initiative and ensure a robust technology delivery plan is developed and actioned in the most effective and efficient manner.
The Senior Delivery lead will ensure the key 3rd party product and services partners are engaged in the proper manner and deliver on their commitments to deliver a successful outcome. The successful candidate will have leadership accountability for the definition, evolution and implementation of AIB’s prioritised change initiatives in support of the organisations strategy.
This strategy underpins AIB’s ambition to dramatically accelerate the development and delivery of new business services while bringing significant capability to our customers in a safe and controlled manner.
Managing a technology change spend of c€10 million+, the role holder will lead the delivery of effective business solutions leveraging leading edge technologies. The role holder will also have accountability for defining, implementing and evolving the delivery strategy of these major initiatives, which will significantly augment AIB’s overall customer capabilities and enable the achievement of the objectives of AIB’s current business strategy.
Key Accountabilities;
- Accountability for shaping, driving and implementing AIB’s delivery strategy for the key strategic change priorities of the Bank impacting their Tribe. This will involve responsibility for defining the new capabilities required, high level design and delivery plans to deliver the required outcomes across all impacted Tribes.
- Accountable for the definition, implementation, oversight of on-going large scale delivery initiatives underway in their Tribe, which include strategic, regulatory and business driven priorities
- Accountability for shaping, driving and implementing the required changes with the product partner organisations, which includes management of the design/delivery of complex initiatives with multiple 3rd party organisations
- Strategic & operational accountability, management and oversight of the product platform organisations, including strategic vendor engagements.
- Leadership and development of a high performing hybrid team of c100+ staff operating across multiple squads/product vendors to deliver the solution in partnership with the impacted business areas.
- Influence new business case from a delivery perspective, ensuring the commitments made via QBR/Strategic programmes are grounded in solid plans and are achievable.
- Be accountable for the delivery of all in-scope changes as deliver on agreed Exco priorities.
- Establish and work with system integration partnerships to ensure systems and procedures are in line with security standards and compliance regulations and can stand up to regular audits and reviews.
- As a key member of the senior Technology team drive cultural change in the Technology environment aligning strategic objectives and business activities including delivery of a robust change capabilities and operational model for Technology
- Lead engagements with other Tribes/Technology areas and build strong working relationships with key senior stakeholders, to actively build positive collaboration and trust across Enterprise Delivery SMT.
- Act as key point of contact for business areas to jointly business readiness and deployment plans.
- Provide strategic technology delivery advice to key AIB senior business leaders and SMTs through fora such as QBR/Big Room Planning.
- Lead the delivery of all technical services and proactively resolve challenges and issues and deliver architectural aligned solutions that adhere to Regulatory & Security standards with an absolute focus on ‘Customer First’.
What you Will Bring ;
- Experience at senior level leading and developing technical staff and cross-functional teams with a record of successfully designing and driving change, setting priorities & executing plans.
- Demonstrated experience in the establishment, implementation and assurance of large scale change initiatives, with deep understanding of Agile change practices and the associated technologies.
- Strong experience in cultivating Innovation with experience in creating new and faster ways for the organisation to be successful
- Proven Experience of navigating complex (matrix) organization structures and managing internal senior stakeholders
- Excellent collaborating stills with experience building partnerships with senior stakeholders and working collaboratively with others both interlay and externally cross partner organisations to meet shared objectives
- The business acumen to identify business needs, evaluate emerging technology trends, determine policy implications, and advance potential solutions in cyber protection, technology deployment and infrastructure protection.
- Strong, concise, accurate, and effective written and oral communications; must be able to communicate and coordinate with individuals across all levels of a financial institution.
