Job Title: Senior Designer

Location: Monaghan

Job Summary:

The role is to be an active member of a project design team of Designers working on medium and large-scale projects. To create an accurate 3D model of all project elements using Revit Families developing the model into drawings and technical information for submission on a project which meet the clients, Architects needs while being in line with the company’s Tender, quality standards and Design office policy, for both internal and external customers. Be a key member of a growing the Design office, continually growing your Skills and Experience with the aim to progress through the Design office structure.

Main Duties:

  • Be an active member of the Design team providing clear and concise information required for the client approval and installation of the project.
  • Develop 3D models of all project elements using existing and the creation of Revit families.
  • Build up modular assemblies which then form the project model.
  • Produce architectural design and fabrication drawings packages for manufacture from project models.
  • Produce cut list, BOMs & schedules using Revit.
  • Ability to work on varied projects simultaneously and provide initial assessments regarding modularization.
  • Create drawings for submittal to the external customers throughout the approval stage to meet the Design intent while being in line with the company’s Tender, quality standards and Design office policy.
  • All information created to be of a high-quality standard while incorporating all regulations/ standards, customer requirements and Design office policy’s
  • Work closely with the Design Manager & Lead Designer hi-lighting when individual tasks are completed in line with the project program and hi-light any issues or obstacles which could delay the submittal of information.
  • Undertake liaison and coordination with other designers, including architects, and other consultants
  • Will be responsible for meeting agreed deadlines and managing time to meet programme.
  • Responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of your own work prior to final internal QA check by the Design Manager or Technical Manager.
  • Release material orders and Schedules as per dates indicated in the procurement schedule, and hi-light delays to the Design Manager if dates cannot be met.
  • Work on defined tasks under limited supervision with some autonomy
  • When required attend onsite Design team meetings with Lead Designer.
  • Create site information packages which are clear and concise for the installation stage of the project. If required provide Toolbox Talk with site team to give an understanding of the information provided.
  • Have an interest in the systems and developments within the industry.
  • All other duties that may be reasonably required with job holders level in the company.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant working experience working within a construction design office, which required the individual to provide accurate information to both internal and external customers.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Autodesk Revit is essential along with understanding of BIM standards and procedures.
