Responsibilities:
- Be a senior member of the project design team ensuring that the team provide accurate information which is delivered on time to a high-quality standard and within the contract and design office budget while incorporating all regulations/ standards, customer requirements and Design office policy’s
- Provide support to the Design Manager for the Design element of a live project and provide practical solutions for the successful completion of a project.
- When required aid the Design Manager and Technical Manager to QA review drawings to ensure they meet the Design office policies and are in line with the project requirements prior to approval release.
- Review department and contract programmes on a continual basis to ensure that a project is delivered on time and within the design office budget.
- Ensure that the material orders are released as per dates indicated in the procurement schedule, and hi-light delays if dates cannot be met.
- Review and sign off all material orders prior them being released to purchasing department for order.
- When required co-ordinate work of design subcontractors and liaise with external structural engineers
- Attend onsite Design team meetings to provide technical solutions which meet the client’s needs and in line with the company budget and programme.
- Liaise with the Operations team providing Design support with clear and concise information packages for the installation stage of the project.
- Mentor the project Design team for the duration of the project while providing knowledge to help grow the experience/ skill within the team.
- Have an up-to-date knowledge of systems and developments within the industry.
- All other duties that may be reasonably required with job holders’ level in the company.
- 5 years' experience in working in a design team within the construction industry, which includes supervising and co-ordinating a team of designers and project management.
