Location: Midlands Region

Reporting to: Executive Head of Development

Salary Range: €79,552 - €102,949

Terms: Permanent Contract – 39 Hours per week (Mon to Fri)

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to manage and oversee defined projects to delivery in line with statutory compliance and best practice. To assist the Head of Development in the delivery of Respond’s development programme, and assist in maintaining and building partnerships with key stakeholders.

Core duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead on projects at various stages including design, procurement, tender, construction and handover.
  • Prepare feasibility and business case proposals for new development projects, securing funding approvals in line with Organisations' development, investment and procurement strategy.
  • Report and manage project budgets, funding, contracts, programme, risk and compliance with statutory standards, Departments KPI’s and agreed protocols.
  • Responsible for coordinating, completing and submission of financial applications for development funding.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on the status of Board approved schemes and delivery programme.
  • Manage small internal teams and direct reporting as assigned. Support and mentor direct team reporting including learning and skills development.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • 3rd level qualification as Chartered Architect, Planning & Property Valuation, Chartered Town Planner, Property Investment or Chartered Quantity Surveyor – MSCSI, MRICS or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the Irish planning, development and construction sector
  • Minimum 8 years post-graduate experience in planning, development, cost management, construction, risk management and public procurement.
  • Financial control and budget management skills.
  • Excellent influencing skills with strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
