The Facilities Department are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and management of our properties, assets, and merchandising equipment to ensure that they are maintained to the highest standard and providing an optimal environment for our customers and colleagues.

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Facilities Manager to provide expert support to our four Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs). This role focuses on maintaining and optimising HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems, while ensuring compliance, cost-efficiency, and operational excellence across our facilities.

What you'll do

  • Technical Support & System Optimization:
    • Provide technical guidance to RDC maintenance teams on HVAC, refrigeration, electrical system etc.
    • Ensure optimal performance and reliability of building systems through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Facilities Management Coordination:
    • Support the coordination of warehouse facilities management processes with regional teams.
    • Assist in contractor management, cost tracking, and system support.
  • Contract & Standards Management:
    • Ensure best practices and standards are upheld for HVAC and refrigeration systems.
    • Review and redefine scopes of work for building service contracts in collaboration with Procurement to establish robust agreements.
  • Performance Monitoring & Cost Control:
    • Monitor external contractor performance and track expenditure to identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Conduct supplier performance reviews, including service quality audits and verification of critical maintenance and PPM schedules.
  • Consultancy & Collaboration:
    • Conduct regional consultancy visits to promote process optimisation and best practices.
    • Participate in national and international audit reviews.
  • Training & Meetings:
    • Assist in organising national maintenance meetings and training sessions to foster continuous improvement.
  • Ad-hoc Responsibilities:
    • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in handling additional tasks as required.

What you'll need

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical systems etc.
    • Experience in facilities or maintenance management within a warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment.
  • Project & Contractor Management:
    • Proven ability to manage external contractors and service providers.
    • Experience in reviewing and negotiating service contracts and scopes of work.
  • Analytical & Financial Acumen:
    • Ability to monitor and manage maintenance budgets and project costs.
    • Strong analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and performance improvements.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
    • Ability to lead consultancy visits and facilitate training sessions.
  • Organisational Skills:
    • Strong planning and coordination abilities, with attention to detail.
    • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing demands.
  • IT Proficiency:
    • Familiarity with facilities management systems, maintenance tracking tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility:
    • Willingness to travel regionally and support ad-hoc tasks as needed.
    • Full driving license is essential.
