Senior Finance Manager

A permanent vacancy currently exists within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following post and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-

Senior Finance Manager
37 hours per week
Scale PO6, SCP 42-45, £50,512 - £53,630 per annum

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The post holder will have operational responsibility for the following areas of the Finance Department:

• Setting annual rates
• Computerised financial systems
• Management information and budgetary control
• Payroll accounting
• Completion of Monthly and Quarterly Management Accounts
• Completion of Monthly and Quarterly Management Reporting
• Completion of Monthly and Quarterly forecasting
• Grants management

Leading and developing a team of managers to plan and implement a high quality service to meet the needs of the organisation, its customers, its internal policies and relevant legislation and regulations.

Effectively manage the performance of staff by setting objectives which will achieve the necessary results and support the continuous improvement of the service.

Provide Support to the Assistant Director of Finance.
