Purpose and Function of Post

• To assist the Duty Manager with the organisation and supervision of all aspects of operational staff duties, and to ensure that the highest standards of health and safety, cleanliness and general customer care are maintained at all times.
• Provide frontline supervision of facility users, employees and other groups within the Centre.

Salary: Scale 6 (SCP 20-24) £32,597 – £ 35,412gross per annum plus weekend enhancement at 1 ½ and shift allowance at 10% where applicable

The Council may retain a list of reserve candidates arising from this recruitment campaign, for any vacancies which may arise which are the same or similar and are of an equal grade of pay. This list will be valid for 12months. “Another similar vacancy” is defined as a post with a similar job description and person specification and on the same salary scale, which may be in a different department or duration to the vacancy initially advertised. Another similar vacancy does not include posts where the similarity relates solely to the salary scale.

Additional Stipulation
Ability to complete a pre-employment swim test*
* The pre-employment swim test will consist of – swimming 100m on front and back, swim 50m in 60 seconds, dive to the deepest part of the pool and retrieve a submersible manikin, exit the pool without the use of steps.

In addition to the standard pre-employment checks, this position will also be subject to receipt of a satisfactory Enhanced with the Barred List Access (NI) check.
