Senior Maintenance Technician

An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Senior Maintenance Technician at our Dunboyne site.

This is an onsite shift role.

This position will support the manufacturing shift team to deliver batch operations successfully, identify and resolve issues to allow the site to deliver for our patients in a culture that supports Quality, EHS, Learning and Continuous improvement.

What skills you will need:

  • Support compliant manufacturing operations by executing the sites maintenance system through maintenance, troubleshooting and supporting manufacturing & engineering teams.
  • Perform and carry out a variety of maintenance tasks including but not limited to preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and predictive data collection in a GxP environment using site CMMS.
  • Drive continuous improvement related to production equipment with a Safety first, Quality Always focus.
  • Co-ordination of work within Engineering teams and beyond, while delivering continuous improvements.
  • Anticipate and solve complex problems within the Engineering Team and for the end customer.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and proactively communicate with relevant stakeholders during shift.
  • The desire to continuously learn, improve and develop engineering and related processes. Ability to create Clear Problem Statements and identification of next steps to resolve equipment, Safety and Quality challenges.
  • Work closely with the Planning and Scheduling Team to confirm work completion is safe, compliant and right first time.
  • Complete robust and detailed handovers, permits, RAMS, parts, spares and vendors are prepared for works.
  • Support site Emergency Response Team activities.
  • Subject matter expert on process equipment to provide rapid troubleshooting and fault finding to reduce downtime of equipment.

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

  • Demonstrated evidence of continuous development skill based and academic/ trades qualification ideally electrical.
  • Ability to deliver results to a high standard while adhering to timelines.
  • Ability to communicate proficiently with all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong problem solving with an ability to think logically and be proactive under pressure with a solution driven mindset.
  • 3 years + experience in biotechnology and/ or pharmaceutical industry or equivalent.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, maintenance, and reliability best practices.
  • Experience using and interacting with Enterprise asset management systems, PLCs and automation systems e.g Maximo, SAP, DeltaV, BAS, DeltaV and Pi.
  • Ability to work as part of a shift team and be self-motivated to deliver results.
  • Compliance mindset ensuring adherence to Procedures, Safety, Delivery, Quality, Cost and People metrics.

Our facility in Dunboyne joined our network in September 2020. Our Dunboyne site is our Company’s first Biologics Drug Substance Single Use Commercialisation Facility, playing an important role in helping to commercialise key medicines. The cutting-edge innovation and collaboration between our Company’s research and manufacturing teams will significantly accelerate the time it takes to bring a medicine to market for the benefit of patients around the world.
