We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager – Internal Communications & Culture to lead the strategy, design and delivery of our employee communications and cultural storytelling. This role will shape how we communicate with our people, strengthen our employer brand, and bring our purpose and values to life through engaging narratives.
You will work at the intersection of culture, communications, and employer branding — ensuring our employees feel informed, inspired, and connected, while also telling our story externally to attract and retain top talent.
What else it involves
Internal Communications
- Develop and deliver a company-wide internal communications strategy aligned to business priorities.
· Take strategic ownership of the end-to-end planning and execution of high-impact corporate communications initiatives and events, collaborating with executive leadership and external partners to amplify organisational messaging and drive engagement at all levels.
- Lead messaging for leadership communications, organisational announcements, and change initiatives.
- Own and continuously improve internal channels (intranet, newsletters, town halls, video, podcasts, O365, etc).
- Partner with senior leaders to craft authentic, human-centric messages that resonate across diverse employee groups.
Culture & Storytelling
- Work in partnership with Propositions Lead to create compelling narratives around milestones, successes, and our impact on customers, communities, and people.
- Act as a cultural ambassador, ensuring our values are lived and communicated consistently.
- Curate and share employee stories that bring our purpose and impact to life.
- Drive campaigns that promote inclusivity, recognition, wellbeing, and engagement.
Employer Brand
- In partnership with Talent Acquisition Lead evolve employer brand strategy that attracts and retains talent.
- Working with wider Talent Acquisition and Marketing support the delivery of recruitment campaigns, careers site content, EVP materials, and social media storytelling.
- Ensure internal and external messages are aligned — “what we say” matches “what we live.”
- Leverage employee advocacy and brand ambassadors to amplify authentic voices.
Leadership & Strategy
- Build and lead a small, high-performing team of internal comms specialists
- Advise executive leadership on communication best practice and employer brand positioning.
- Champion innovation in how we communicate and engage employees.
Skills & experience we're looking for
- Proven senior-level experience in internal communications, employer branding, or culture/engagement roles.
- Exceptional storyteller and communicator — able to simplify complex ideas and create emotional connection.
- Strong understanding of employer branding, EVP development, and recruitment marketing.
- Demonstrated success in shaping and delivering communication strategies during transformation, growth, or change.
- Skilled in channel management, content creation, and digital comms tools.
- Experienced in influencing senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships at executive level.
- Creative thinker with data-driven approach to measuring impact.
- Team leadership and budget management experience.
