The National Shared Services Office (NSSO) is leading the transformation of HR, payroll and pension administration, and financial management in the Irish Public Service.
Shared Services implementation is a central element of the Government’s Public Service Reform Plan. Over the next 3 years some of the finance functions, currently carried out within the 48 Public Service Bodies (PSBs), will move in waves to the Finance Shared Service (FSS). The FSS will lead and manage all critical finance activities including; accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and asset maintenance, general ledger, financial reporting and analysis, financial systems, cash management, tax, and internal audit.
Based in Galway or Tullamore, the Senior Manager FSS Operations will be responsible for completion of general accounting, financial close, audit and governance, finance management and tax activities within the FSS. The position will also be responsible for establishing and leading an operations team in the FSS division and expanding services over the course of deployment.
The successful candidate will have a career record that demonstrates senior level leadership and management skills with leadership experience in a relevant finance operations environment and a demonstrated ability to lead, foster and effectively implement appropriate change.
