Senior Medical Scientist, Biochemistry Laboratory
Purpose of the role
The purpose of this post is to support the delivery of a quality laboratory service in compliance with the requirements of international standard ISO 15189 in the Biochemistry laboratory
The post holder is required to perform a broad range of scientific work in the laboratory, and will supervise colleagues. She/he will carry out routine analyses, participate in implementing new methods and will actively participate in the laboratory quality management system.
Essential Criteria
- Applicants must be registered with CORU to practice in Ireland.
- Applicants must have at least 4 years’ experience as a Medical Scientist and have an MSc that has been approved as eligible for a Senior Medical Scientist post by the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM)
- Have experience working in a Biochemistry Laboratory
- Have experience analsyer validation/ verification
