Senior Medical Social Worker for Clinical Education

(Permanent/Part-Time)

Applications are invited for the above post from suitably qualified persons.

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, self-motivated Senior Social Worker. The person appointed will be experienced in providing a quality social work service to patients of the National Rehabilitation Hospital as well as their families and carers, working as part of an inter-disciplinary team. They will be responsible for the ongoing development and facilitation of Induction, Education, Supervision and Professional Development processes within the Social Work Department.

The candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office, possess:

· CQSW / NQSW or equivalent qualification

· Five year’s post qualifying experience in relevant area(s) of Social Work practice

· Must have current registration with CORU

· Must have experience in disability services, rehabilitation or hospital settings

· Must have experience of working with clients with limb absence, neurological conditions such as acquired brain injury, stroke and spinal cord injury as a Senior Social Worker

· Experience in supervision, leadership roles and operational management is desirable.

The appointment is part-time, permanent and in a pensionable capacity. Remuneration is in accordance with the salary scale approved by the Department of Health.
