Senior Occupational Therapist: Acute In-patient Services
Purpose of the Role
The postholder will be a member of the OneCHI Occupational Therapy Service which provides acute inpatient OT services across a number of clinical multidisciplinary teams. The department is currently looking to fulfil a number of upcoming roles across various CHI sites:
- Haematology/oncology service (permanent/ CHI at Crumlin site),
- Neuroscience OT Team: Neurology/ Neurosurgery and Neuro-rehab (specified purpose contract/ CHI at Temple Street Site)
The postholder will discharge the duties of a senior Occupational Therapist as outlined in the job description. The therapist will work within the structure of the OneCHI Occupational Therapy Department, and will contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service developments as required.
Please note a panel of senior therapists will be formed for nine months and further appropriate opportunities may be offered within this time frame.
Essential Criteria:
- Be registered as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU with the registration number listed on the CV.
Or
Applied and awaiting CORU registration (to be documented on application).
- Have at least 3 years’ full time (or an aggregate of 3 years’ full time) post qualification experience in a relevant clinical area.
- Experience working with children
- Demonstrate evidence of recent formal continuing professional development relevant, in the form of post-graduate qualifications or relevant courses
