Children’s Disability Network Team
Full-Time and Part Time Posts
This is an exciting opportunity for Senior Occupational Therapists to join our service to support children and their families, presenting with complex needs arising from a disability.
The Occupational Therapist is a valuable member of the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) who will provide a quality evidence-based service in line with Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles including family-centred practice.
We currently have permanent and temporary positions available across Ballymun and Coastal Children’s Disability Network Teams. We are interested in applications from occupational therapists seeking both full time or part time work.

CDNT: Coastal CDNT 0.6 WTE CDNM: Sinéad English Office base: St. Michael’s House Baldoyle
CDNT: Coastal CDNT 1.0 WTE 12month contract CDNM: Sinéad English Office base: St. Michael’s House Baldoyle
The successful candidate must have the following:
Essential Criteria
- Degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy accredited to the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
- Fully registered or registration in process with CORU.
- A minimum of 3 years post graduate clinical working experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience in the area of paediatrics.
- Excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to work in a self directed manner.
- Excellent ability to work with complex cases as part of a team.
- Committed to the delivery of quality, family-centred, community-based services
- Evidence of CPD in leadership/mentoring/supervision.
- Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) in the relevant area.
Desirable Criteria
- Clinical experience of working with children with a variety of complex needs including Autism, Intellectual Disability and Physical Disability.
- Experience in supporting 24-hour postural management needs with a recognised seating/postural management course completed.
- Experience in the implementation of sensory integration approaches with a recognised sensory integration course completed.
- Previous experience related to Assessment of Need.
- Full clean driving licence and use of a car

There may be opportunity for part time posts to share a full-time post if interested parties are successful.
