The Post:

There is currently two permanent, whole-time vacancies available in HSE Community Healthcare East, Block B, Civic Centre, Main Street, Bray, Co. Wicklow.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for the Grade VIII, Senior Operational Manager across Older Persons Services in the HSE Dublin and South-East Region from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

The Person:

This campaign is confined to staff who are currently employed by the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies*, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004 as per Workplace Relations Commission agreement -161867

Applicants must demonstrate all of the criteria listed below, as relevant to this role:

· Experience of working in the Care of the Elderly area or other care areas relevant to the role.

· Significant operational experience in managing and/ or delivering a quality service.

· Experience of delivering change in a complex environment, as relevant to this role.

· Experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders, as relevant to this role.

· Experience in team management and development.

· The requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

Post Specific Requirements

· The level of remote working appropriate to the Grade VIII, Senior Operations Manager will be determined by the ISL Manager in accordance with HSE remote working policy and the demands of this post

· Ideally all applicants will have worked for a substantial period (greater 2 years) in a post equivalent to that of Grade VII or comparative non-administrative grades

Applicants will have a substantial proven track record in the delivery of services to Older Persons and/or comparative service sectors.
