  • Working Model - Fully Onsite
  • Remuneration - *Current salary scale with effect from 1st Feb 2026: €76,282 (point 1) to €88,460 (point 8)
  • Annual Leave - As per Health Service Executive (HSE)
  • Closing Date – Monday 1st June 2026
  • Proposed Interview Date - Thursday 11th June 2026 - Shortlisted candidates are expected to make themselves available
  • Take Up Appointment - Successful applicant(s) must be available to take up the role within a reasonable timeframe
  • Reporting Relationship – Chief Pharmacist

PURPOSE OF THE POST

  • To support the Chief Pharmacist in the day to day running and the future development of the pharmacy service.
  • To participate in the ward based clinical pharmacy service, predominately within the Rehabilitation Units.
  • To support the provision of the Rheumatology In and Out-Patient Service.
  • Provide effective, efficient, and safe pharmaceutical care to all patients under their care in Peamount Healthcare.
  • To provide prescribing and professional advice to medical, nursing and other healthcare professionals, including other pharmacists, and contribute to good clinical governance in the use of medicines.

POINT ON SALARY SCALE

New appointees coming from the private sector will be placed on the minimum point of the scale

(*exceptions may apply for the below grades, provided proof of recognised service is submitted by VOS)

  • *Clinical and Therapy Grades and Staff Nurses*: Incremental credit may be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011) in the Civil Service, local authorities, public service, health service and other public service bodies and statutory agencies.
