SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST

ADULT SERVICES, Permanent, full time

35 hour working week

Salary Scale: Physiotherapist, Senior: €65,197 x 9 increments to €76,767

New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.

Horizons is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people with an intellectual disability and additional needs such as autism or physical and medical conditions to live fulfilling lives.

We provide a range of services to the people that access Horizons supports, to help individuals achieve their goals and live independently.

We are now seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our adult physiotherapy team. The successful candidate must demonstrate a passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds.

The successful candidate will work in a well-established, innovative & supportive interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based Physiotherapy intervention to people accessing Horizons adult services.

The successful candidate will lead out on key strategic projects to support the departments development and specific pathways to support service delivery.

Essential:

  • Hold a relevant level 8 degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years post graduate Physiotherapy experience.
  • Have access to own vehicle and hold a full clean driving licence.
  • Be CORU registered at time of application.

Preferable:

  • Hydrotherapy experience
  • Experience supervising people, either student supervision or Physiotherapy assistant preferably.
  • At least 2 years working with adults in disability or Neurological rehab.
