Kilbarrack Children’s Disability Network Team

Full Time Permanent Post

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our service to support children and their families, presenting with complex needs arising from a disability.

The Physiotherapist is a valuable member of the Children’s Disability Network Team who will provide a quality evidence based service in line with Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles including family centred practice.

The successful candidate must have the following:

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Physiotherapy accredited by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
  • Fully registered with CORU.
  • A minimum of 3 years post graduate clinical working experience with at least two years in the area of paediatric disability.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to work in a self directed manner.
  • Excellent ability to work with complex cases as part of a team.
  • Committed to the delivery of quality, family-centred, community-based services
  • Evidence of CPD in leadership/mentoring/supervision.
  • Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) in the relevant area.

Desirable Criteria

  • Clinical experience of working with children with a variety of complex needs including Autism, Intellectual Disability and Physical Disability.
  • Experience in supporting 24-hour postural management needs with a recognised seating/postural management course completed.
  • Experience of working within an interdisciplinary team framework.
  • Previous experience related to Preliminary Team Assessment/ Assessment of Need.
  • Full clean driving licence and use of a car
