Children’s Disability Network Team

Full Time and Part Time Posts

This is an exciting opportunity for Senior Physiotherapists to join our service to support children and their families, presenting with complex needs arising from a disability.

The Physiotherapist is a valuable member of the Children’s Disability Network Team who will provide a quality evidence based service in line with Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles including family centred practice.

We currently have permanent and temporary positions available across Ballymun, Kilbarrack and Coastal Children’s Disability Network Teams. We are interested in applications from Physiotherapists seeking both full time and part time work.

· 1 x WTE Specified Purpose Post on the Kilbarrack Team

· 1 x 0.5 WTE Permanent Post on the Ballymun Team

· 1 x 0.6 WTE Specified Purpose Post on the Coolock Team

The successful candidate must have the following:

Essential Criteria

· Be fully registered on the Physiotherapy Register maintained by the Physiotherapy Registration Board at CORU.

• A minimum of 3 years post graduate clinical working experience with at least two years in the area of paediatric disability.
• Excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to work in a self directed manner.
• Excellent ability to work with complex cases as part of a team.
• Committed to the delivery of quality, family-centred, community-based services.
• Evidence of CPD in leadership/mentoring/supervision.
• Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) in the relevant area.

Desirable Criteria

· Clinical experience of working with children with a variety of complex needs including Autism, Intellectual Disability and Physical Disability.

· Experience in supporting 24-hour postural management needs with a recognised seating/postural management course completed.

· Experience of working within an interdisciplinary team framework.

· Previous experience related to Preliminary Team Assessment/ Assessment of Need.

· Full clean driving licence and use of a car
