Senior Physiotherapist (Intellectual Disability Services)
Job Type: Permanent position, with flexible working options available (see attached job description on our website for further information)
Location: Working within our Waterford service area. Blended working arrangements will be considered.

The role of a Senior Physiotherapist:
The post holder will work as a key member of the interdisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, person-centred physiotherapy services to adults with disabilities and complex needs, and supporting their families and care teams across the South East region. The role will include assessment, intervention, clinical leadership, supervision, and service development, ensuring service delivery aligns with national policy, best practice standards, and the needs of adult disability services within Corlann and the HSE.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy recognised by the Department of Health
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience as a practicing physiotherapist.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and associated complex needs (such as physical/sensory disabilities, communication difficulties, or behaviours that challenge) is essential
- Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Registration with CORU as a Physiotherapist
- Knowledge of the Irish healthcare system and an understand of Irish statutory legislation and clinical governance frameworks relevant to the disability sector
