Senior Physiotherapist
Senior Physiotherapist Salary Scale: €65,197 - €70,864 DOE
The South Kildare West Wicklow CDNT operate a biopsychosocial model and adopted a Family Centred Approach. The Senior Physiotherapist will work as part of an inter-disciplinary team to provide clinical supports to children aged 0-18 years who present with complex needs associated with a disability and their families.
The CDNT provide supports across South Kildare and West Wicklow the role of the Senior Physiotherapist includes clinical supervision, performance management and ongoing service delivery and improvement.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· Manage, prioritise, and deliver a specialist physiotherapy caseload for children and young people with disabilities.
· Undertake assessments and provide individual and group physiotherapy interventions based on identified needs.
· Use advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to support positive outcomes for service users.
· Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and multidisciplinary team members to set goals and develop intervention plans.
· Provide clinical leadership, supervision, coaching and support to physiotherapy colleagues and team members.
· Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.
· Assess and prescribe equipment, mobility aids, and therapeutic supports, ensuring safe and effective use.
· Contribute to interdisciplinary team working, case reviews, service planning, and service improvement initiatives.
· Support training and education programs for staff, families and other stakeholders as required.
· Monitor resources, manage allocated budgets and ensure compliance with relevant policies, legislation, and professional standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Have a Physiotherapy qualification, recognised by CORU
- Three (3) years post qualification experience
- Experience working with children/young people/adults with disability is essential
- Be currently registered with CORU
- Hold an appropriate and effective set of professional values and beliefs and behave in line with professional standards as set down by Kare and relevant professional bodies
- Demonstrate sufficient clinical skills in assessment intervention and diagnostics
- Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and the interdisciplinary team to provide a client and family centred service
- Excellent time management and IT/computer skills
- Be eligible to work in Ireland without sponsorship
- Full Clean Licence and access to own vehicle is essential
