Senior Physiotherapist – Adult Services
(Full-time - Permanent)
We are looking for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our community-based service in Ballymun / Coolock and surrounding areas. The position will involve providing physiotherapy interventions to adults with Intellectual Disabilities as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a range of settings. The successful candidate will join the existing adult services Physiotherapy team in developing and delivering quality Physiotherapy services to adults with Intellectual Disabilities in collaboration with clinical MDT and frontline colleagues. Supervision will be provided through the Physiotherapy Manager.
Working in our department will give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their Physiotherapy clinical skills across a broad range of areas including Physical Disability, Frailty, Dementia and Autism.

In line with our current hybrid working policy arrangements, there is opportunity to apply for a hybrid model of work once staff have passed their probationary period and in line with service demands.
Essential Criteria:
- Be fully registered on the Physiotherapy Register maintained by the Physiotherapy Registration Board at CORU
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience working as a physiotherapist to include experience working as a Physiotherapist in adult disability services or other areas highly relevant to the post.
- Have an interest in working with adults and ageing populations with disabilities in a variety of settings and across the full range of Physiotherapy interventions.
- Be committed to and have experience of delivering quality, person-centred, community-based services.
- Have excellent communication, team working, innovation and time management skills and the ability to work in a self-directed manner.
- Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD)
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working in adult Intellectual Disability service.
- Experience in supporting 24-hour postural management needs with a recognised postural management course completed.
- Experience in the area of falls, deconditioning, frailty.
- Experience and understanding of dementia care and service provision.
- Full clean driving licence and use of a car.
Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with HSE revised consolidated August 2025 Senior Physiotherapist pay scale point 1: €63,912 – point 9: €75,254 per annum pro rata.
- Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale above.
