Senior Psychologist

The Senior Psychologist will contribute towards an evidence-based-MDT service within the Psychology Dept covering general referrals from the Liaison Psychiatry Team inclusive of covering specific referrals from the Endocrinology Service in the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital (MMUH). Patients will be referred from a wide variety of wards and departments within the acute hospital setting and will be seen for assessment, formulation and largely short term interventions of up to 10 sessions. Patients with greater needs will be facilitated to transition to their local community primary or mental health services. The Psychologist will be linked with the Dept. of Psychology which sits in the Health and Social Care Directorate within the hospital and will report to the Principal Clinical Psychologist, Manager.
