Role Overview
Due to continued growth our Asset Management division have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure all commercial functions for the Division are completed to professional standards within agreed time and cost budgets.

What you’ll do
The following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
- Take overall responsibility for the QS team, this includes Apprentices, Juniors and experienced Quantity Surveyors
- Manage the QS team workload, ensuring contract KPI’s and contractual timelines are adhered to.
- Issue monthly reports to the Senior Management team setting out performance of the team and escalating any risks or issues
- Ensure prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and ensure that subcontractor payments are dealt with fairly and in accordance with subcontract terms
- Supervise, mentor and encourage junior surveying staff in their personal professional development
- Preparation of the forecasting and reporting of costs against value to ensure that it is in line with the contract profitability forecast
What you'll bring
As a Quantity Surveyor your main skills and experience will include:
Essential Criteria
- Have relevant Quantity Surveying experience within a Construction or Facilities Management environment
- Possess either a Third Level Qualification in Quantity Surveying or demonstrate a level of experience obtained working in a comparable role
- Demonstrable experience of working on MTC contracts utilising schedules of rates such as PSA
- Detailed understanding of Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), preparation, detailed forecasting principles and monthly reporting.
- Have knowledge of construction practices that can be used on site to analyse the design and propose potential cost saving and value engineering measures
- Knowledge of alternative Schedules of rates
- Experience of QS software such as Barcellos
