What is the Role:
Join a leading Irish bank committed to driving the highest standards of risk management and compliance. We are seeking a Senior Risk Assurance Specialist with data reporting skills to join our Second Line Assurance (SLA) team. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the data insights being developed and reported to support the Second Line Assurance team and Head of Second Line Assurance who reports into the Group Chief Risk Officer, Group Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee. There will also be opportunity to work with other members of the SLA team to deliver operational efficiencies across the SLA team.
This role will form part of the newly established SLA Enablement team within the Second Line Assurance. The team supports the SLA team’s delivery including cross function reporting, planning, budget management and data tooling. Second Line Assurance play an important role in informing senior management and the Board on the adequacy and effectiveness of our risk management and internal control environment.
Second Line Assurance is a team of specialists across several diverse areas – including Credit Risk, Financial Risks, Sustainability & ESG, Operational Risks, Resilience, Data Protection, Regulatory Compliance, Business Model & Strategy and Conduct & Culture – accessing senior stakeholders within the organisation and plenty of opportunities to obtain great exposure and experience across all areas of the Bank. Key Accountabilites :
- Extract and analyse data from multiple sources and in particular, familiarity with QlikView (MyFinance, ETP, Portfolio Analysis). SQL experience would be beneficial but not essential. Collating and summarising this information to monitor trends and highlight key points of potential concern.
- Work collaboratively within SLA, Risk and with other stakeholders to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines
- Develop and maintain a culture of high performance, strong customer focus and compliance that is reflective of the AIB Behaviours.
- Interpret, analyse and identify insight using key risk metrics’ data.
- Take lead role in the design and development of MI and data quality enhancement solutions.
