Senior Site Engineer

Vision Contracting Ltd. are looking to recruit a permanent full time Senior Site Engineer located in the Dublin area for recently secured projects.

The successful candidate will report to the relevant Project Manager and will be enthusiastic, confident, and motivated with good communication and mathematical skills and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

The key activities

  • Ensure compliance and promote good work practices in relation to Health, Safety and Welfare Management systems.
  • Understand and be fully familiar with drawings, specifications BOQ etc.
  • Foster and promote strong design team and subcontractors working relationships.
  • Manage key subcontractor relationships to ensure the programme and the required quality standards are achieved.
  • Responsible for communicating with the Quantity Surveyor for the order of materials and equipment, along with controlling there delivery on-site as required.
  • Participate and engage in site meetings with architects, subcontractors, site members and all other project personnel.
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of high-quality projects in accordance with our quality management system and building regulations.

Experience & Requirements

  • Relevant third level qualification in Construction Management/ Engineering or Surveying.
  • 7+ years' construction experience plus.
  • Experience with residential, commercial, and retail projects.
  • Full Irish driver’s license.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Project experience.
  • Experience working with a main contractor or subcontractor.

  • Strong technical ability with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication & time management skills with an ability to lead the project and various trades
  • Flexibility with the ability to prioritise work effectively
  • Ability to build strong relationships with staff, and sub-contractors
  • Communication & influencing skills
  • Possess strong planning, organisational and teamwork skills
