Senior Grade Social Worker
CDNT 8, Central Cork

Horizons is seeking to recruit a Senior Social Worker to work as part of local Children's Disability Network Teams to provide quality, evidence-based, and family-centred social work services to children and young people with complex needs within an interdisciplinary framework.
The role will involve the provision of a range of individual, targeted and universal interventions to children with complex needs and their families. Interventions including Non-violent resistance, Parents Plus Special Needs, Sibshops and autism post-diagnostic interventions are offered by the CDNT.
The Senior Social worker will carry a case load of individual cases as well as having allocations to interdisciplinary team interventions with colleagues from other disciplines, including psychology, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy. This senior role will involve supporting families with a greater complexity of individual/family need, the supervision of staff grade social workers & students and leading in key areas of service development. The successful candidate will report to the CDNM and be clinically supervised by the Principal Social Worker.
Essential Requirements
- NQSW and BSW or MSW in social work or equivalent
- CORU Registered
- 3 years minimum post qualifying experience
- Full Driver's License and access to a car
Desirable
- Experience of working with families & children
- Experience of working in disability and/or child safeguarding
- Experience working in an interdisciplinary way

A panel may be formed for a 12-month period to fill future permanent or temporary, full time or part time senior grade Social Worker positions that may arise across all CDNTs managed by Horizons as Lead Agency. The Department of Health & Children Consolidated Scales apply.
