Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will work in The Alders Unit, a specialist child sexual abuse service. The appointee will be responsible for providing social work supports to children and families impacted by child sexual abuse.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the growing multidisciplinary team as a Senior Social Worker, to participate in the delivery of assessments and provision of therapeutic interventions to children and their families attending the service.

The post holder will be an integral member of the MDT and as part of their role will be required to attend case conferences, MDT meetings and other professional meetings. The Senior Social Worker will also participate in service development, monitoring and evaluation and the provision of training and consultations.

Individual and Clinical supervision will be provided by the Principal Social Worker. Group case management and reflective process supervision will also be provided.

Essential Criteria:

  • Hold a recognised post graduate professional qualification in Social Work, the National Qualification in Social Work (NQSW) or equivalent.
  • Provide evidence of registration with CORU.
  • Have three years post-qualification social work experience.
  • Experience of social work assessment and intervention with children, adolescents and their families
