Senior Social Work Practitioner, Permanent Part-time, Job Share Position (35 hours per fortnight 0.5 WTE)

Muiriosa Foundation supports individuals (and their families) with an intellectual disability and/or autism to live self-directed, connected and fulfilling lives. We are currently recruiting for a permanent part-time (0.5WTE) position for the role of Senior Social Work Practitioner (Home Sharing Link Worker).

This post is offered as part of a job-sharing arrangement. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the existing Senior Social Work Practitioner to ensure continuity, consistency and the delivery of a high-quality Home Sharing social work service. Working days and hours will be agreed in line with service requirements.

Home Sharing is a model of community respite and support for adults and children with a moderate to severe intellectual disability and / or Autism.

The Home Sharing Link Social Worker will work in Partnership with the Home sharing Coordinator to effectively manage and develop the Home Sharing Scheme. The Link Social worker will be involved in all aspects of the recruitment, training, assessments, support and supervision of Home Sharing Families.

Essential Requirements:

• A recognised qualification in Social Work (or equivalent) approved by the National Qualification in Social Work (NQSW).
• Current registration with CORU
• A minimum of three years post qualification social work experience
• Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is desirable.
• Clinical and professional knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role
• A full, clean driving licence and access to a car to travel to various locations across the region.
