Your Role: 

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sourcing Manager ¿ Technology to lead the procurement of Group Technology goods and services within a regulated banking environment. This role is critical in ensuring that all Group Tech sourcing activities align with cost containment goals of the bank while also ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, internal risk frameworks, and the bank¿s digital transformation goals.

Your Team:

You will support the Head of Sourcing & Procurement in the development of long-term strategic category plans and managing strategic relationships. You will also form part of the Sourcing & Procurement leadership team, working with peers to drive best practice and continuous improvement environment across the S&P team. As Sr Sourcing Manger- Technology you will be responsible for leading 4 sourcing professionals, at various levels within the team. You will deliver on day-to day activities, provide capacity, expertise, oversight & act as a peer coach to identify opportunities to delight our stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing Management

Effective communication skills are essential for engaging with international stakeholders. You will have the capability to influence senior stakeholders via high impact written, virtual and in person communication styles. You will bring analytical thinking, planning, execution, and focus to the sourcing and delivery capability area. Using your specialized knowledge and in-depth expertise in technology categories, you will proactively identify and drive strategies and approaches for managing and sourcing third party spend requirements.

You will apply traditional strategic sourcing methodologies, including cost analysis for IT Infrastructure projects, short- and long-term category planning, integration strategies, vendor scorecards, and vendor management. This process also involves global market research, price and cost analysis, cost modeling, total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments, industry trend analysis, product best practices, and benchmarking.

Functional Strategy & Delivery

• Supporting the Head of Sourcing & Procurement to deliver a medium to long term Group Technology saving plan aligned with the banks overall goals and objectives.
• Develop comprehensive sourcing strategies for the Group Technology's categories, including but not limited to, Software, SAAS, Digital Products & Professional services

Risk Management & Control

• Ensure compliance with policy, process, and systems for all IT category spend.
• Oversee and track all IT vendor contract renewals and reviews and approvals aligned with the vendor management program

Lead an inspiring Culture

• Foster a high-performing team by providing clear direction and purpose. Mentor, coach, and develop team members through well-defined job descriptions and regular performance reviews.
• Identify inefficiencies in existing processes, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions to enhance operational performance and quality.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop and manage key relationships with internal stakeholders including Technology leadership team.
• Proactively collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to lead contract negotiations with suppliers; develop negotiation approaches, fallback positions and acceptable terms and conditions.

Requirements:

Essential ¿

• Diploma/ Degree in Business, Technical or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in Category Management in IT category, with min 5 years at leadership level
• Demonstrated ability to lead high performing team, including ongoing team development & achieving desired goals
• Executive level presence with high level communications and interpersonal skills; proven experience in partnering with Business Leaders and stakeholders.
