We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Senior Speech and Language Therapist/Practice Tutor to join our team in Dublin South East (CHO6). We have part-time opportunities within our team in Sandymount.
Sandymount
Our Sandymount office is located in a vibrant seaside village with a welcoming community feel. Just a short walk from Sandymount Strand, the village offers a great mix of cafes, restaurants, and local shops, including a Tesco for convenience. The office is served by the DART commuter train and central bus routes, making it easily commutable from the city and surrounding areas.
Contract Type: Permanent Post
Contract Hours: Part Time Post, 24.5 hours per week (0.25 WTE as Practice Tutor).
Salary Scale: €57,771 – €68,387 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)
This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.
Overview of the Post:
To work as a senior member of Children’s Disability Network Team providing services to children and families within the region, taking a family-centred approach in an interdisciplinary context.

The successful candidate will have:
Essential Criteria:
1. Candidates for appointment must:
- Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Speech & Language Therapist Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
AND
- Have three years full time (or an aggregate of three years full time) post qualification clinical experience.
AND
- Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
AND
- Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Speech & Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapist Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
AND
- Be eligible to work in the State.
2. Annual Registration
- On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech & Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
And
- Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
- Experience working in a community setting.
- Experience working in a public sector role.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children with disabilities.
- Experience working with children with Eating, Drinking and Swallowing difficulties.
- Experience working with Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC).
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
